Greetings and salutations! I'm Kylie, Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Neuro Performance Therapy. My path here wasn't exactly a straight line — and I think that's made me a better clinician.

I grew up in Oklahoma as a competitive swimmer, and movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. After graduating with a degree in studio arts, I moved to Japan for a pottery internship — and then just didn't leave for nearly three years. I explored the countryside by bicycle, hiked as many mountains as I could find, learned to ski (with enthusiasm, if not much skill), and spent as much time in the water as possible. From Japan I moved to Costa Rica, where I worked on a sea turtle conservation project before eventually finding my way into physical therapy.

What drew me to PT? Watching my dad. Before a bike trip we took together through Japan, he had ankle surgery and went through physical therapy — and completed every mile of that trip without issue. When he needed surgery on the other ankle, I took him to every appointment and watched his therapist help him recover his function and get back to the life he loved. I'd always loved working with people and understanding how the body moves. PT felt like the right fit.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma in 2018 and spent the next six years in inpatient rehabilitation, building a deep foundation in complex neurological and balance-related conditions. In 2024 I moved into outpatient care and completed an intensive mentorship focused on spine, sports, and high-level athletic populations — training that sharpened both my orthopedic and neurological skills.

Through all of it, one thing became clear: I wanted to practice differently. I wanted the time to actually understand each person's problem, the space to make sure we were working toward the right goal, and the freedom to treat people the way I'd want to be treated — not the way an insurance company's session limit dictates. That's why I started Neuro Performance Therapy: individualized, one-on-one care, without the noise.

My years abroad taught me something I carry into every session: ask questions, make no assumptions, and never stop checking that you and the other person are actually on the same page. In the clinic, that means taking the time to truly understand your problem, making sure we're aligned on your goals, and always addressing the right thing — because sometimes there's more than one issue driving your symptoms, and getting to the root of it matters.

I've also lived it myself. A CrossFit injury left me with real, frustrating back pain, and I know what it feels like when your body turns against you. That experience is with me in every session, with every person who walks through the door.

You're in good hands. Let's get to work.

Neuro Performance Therapy is a cash-based practice — no insurance, no surprise bills. You'll know your cost upfront before we ever start, discussed during your initial consultation. Need to submit for insurance reimbursement? We're happy to provide a superbill upon request — an itemized receipt with the diagnosis and billing codes your insurance needs to process an out-of-network claim. We can't guarantee reimbursement, and some plans cover none of it, but it gives you the option to try.
